CLAVSERT Installation Guide

1.
Drill a hole with a standard drill bit. Chamfer with a standard countersink of 82°–100° (90° for miniature inserts). NOTE: The diameter of the drill is oversized, see the tables for the appropriate dimensions.
2.
Tap with a standard tap. NOTE: Refer to the tables for the appropriate dimensions and depth.
3.
Screw the CLAVSERT into its housing until the keys lock on contact with the chamfer.

4.
Seat the keys by tapping on the appropriate installation tool. The CLAVSERT is correctly installed.

Repair kit

To repair damaged threads, CLAVSERTs are available as repair kits. Each kit contains a selection of CLAVSERTs in various sizes and the appropriate installation tools. Instructions for assembly and disassembly are also included.
