CLAVSERT Key-locking Insert: high-strength mechanical fasteners

These high-performance fasteners are designed to ensure reliable mechanical strength in demanding environments.
In the form of a rigid threaded insert, each unit incorporates locking keys that prevent it from turning or becoming dislodged, even under high stress.
Available in classic or self-locking versions, with two or four keys depending on the model, they offer an effective solution for the durable thread reinforcement, while preventing the risk of loosening or pull-out.

Robustness, stability and safety: what is the purpose of a CLAVSERT key insert?

It ensures permanent rotational locking thanks to their self-locking keys. As a result, the fastening remains reliable even in extreme conditions. Monobloc and rigid, they offer high pull-out resistance and rotation, and are fixed in a pre-tapped housing. Made of stainless steel, they offer a robust and durable fastening. They are resistant to vibration and wear. This type of insert is used in applications requiring stable fastening, such as mechanical assembly, Aerospace and Defense.

Technological advantages of CLAVSERT Key-locking Insert

01/
Easy to install
Our CLAVSERTs are easy to install without special tools. Drill, tap, screw, then lock the keys in place for permanent fastening. No tang to break.
01/
High pull-out resistance
Their rigid monobloc design and locking keys guarantee high pull-out resistance.
03/
Repair of damaged threads
CLAVSERTs allow the quick and cost-effective replacement of damaged tapping in high value-added parts.

/ FAQ /

How do you install a CLAVSERT Key-locking Insert?

Installation is quick and easy:

  1. Drill with a standard drill bit
  2. Tap with a standard tap
  3. Screw the CLAVSERT insert into its housing until it is completely embedded in the material
  4. Insert the locking keys using a suitable installation tool (manual or pneumatic).

The process is reliable and ensures long-lasting performance without any deformation of the tapping.

Are CLAVSERT inserts available in a self-locking version?

Yes, AMECA offers self-locking CLAVSERT Key-locking Insert, incorporating an internal locking system that prevents the screw from loosening, even when subjected to strong vibration.
This version is ideal for assemblies subjected to dynamic loads, especially in the Aerospace sector.

What standards apply to Key-locking Insert?

Key-locking Insert are subject to several international industrial standards that guarantee their dimensions and mechanical strength. These standards ensure quality, repeatability and compatibility with the requirements of various sectors: Aerospace, Defense, automotive and energy.
